Llega noviembre y, con él, una serie de fechas señaladas en nuestro calendario como el Black Friday. Y es que noviembre se ha convertido en el mes donde más compras se realizan, seguido de enero y julio, y que, lamentablemente, viene acompañado de las estafas virtuales. Esto se debe a que son meses donde se realizan campañas de ofertas importantes; como las rebajas. en el caso de enero y julio; o el Black Friday y el Ciber Monday, en noviembre.
Estas últimas las solemos aprovechar para ahorrar dinero en nuestras compras navideñas y es por ello que, cada vez más, las ofertas de regalos y de productos típicos de estas fechas suelen tener rebajas considerables durante la celebración del Black Friday.
Pero, ¡realmente estamos ahorrando dinero?
¿Cómo saber si una oferta es auténtica?
Durante el Black Friday, siete de cada diez españoles realizan sus compras online. Aunque es el lugar donde podemos encontrar las mejores ofertas, también es el lugar donde más estafas virtuales suelen producirse. Una de las primeras que vamos a tratar es el incremento de precios.
No es ningún misterio que hay empresas y comercios que tienen como práctica habitual, inflar los precios de sus productos en vísperas de una campaña de ofertas como el viernes negro. Esto supone un engaño para nosotros que creemos estar comprando una auténtica ganga cuando en realidad, el descuento es mucho inferior del que se vende. Pare evitar esto, recomendamos utilizar herramientas como las extensiones de navegadores, como El Camelizer o Keepa que analizan los precios de los productos que quieres comprar con un historial. De este modo puedes averiguar si la bajada de precios de este Black Friday es real o no.
¿Dónde comprar este Black Friday para evitar estafas virtuales?
Si realmente queremos ahorrar dinero, deberemos buscar las ofertas mediante Internet. Sin embargo, hay que tener cuidado de las estafas virtuales que podemos llegar a sufrir. Antes de comprar en una tienda online, fíjate en estos indicadores para averiguar si es seguro o no comprar en ella:
- Revisa siempre que el enlace de la web sea verdadero. Hay páginas que intentan hacerse pasar por otras con el objetivo de robar tus datos. A este método se le conoce como Phishing.
- Revisa en tu navegador que la tienda dispone de certificado de seguridad. En muchos navegadores, como Chrome, se ha simplificado mucho este procedimiento para ofrecer mayor seguridad al usuario. En el caso que comentamos, basta con verificar si al lado del enlace de la web hay un candado. Si lo tiene, significa que esa web está certificada y por tanto es más segura.
- Huye de las tiendas que no te permitan formas de pago seguras. Prioriza siempre pagar con PayPal o pasarelas de pago como Stripe que ofrecen protección al cliente.
- Verifica la imagen de la tienda y revisa si ponen a tu disposición información sobre ellos tanto en su web, como en redes sociales. Esto te generará más confianza tanto para realizar la compra, como por el trato y el servicio posventa.
- Comprueba las condiciones y las políticas de devolución para no llevarte sorpresas una vez hayas realizado la compra. Especialmente si este Black Friday vas a realizar compras navideñas.
Prepara tu ordenador para el Black Friday y las estafas virtuales
Recuerda que nosotros también podemos tomar medidas para prevenir estafas virtuales. Puedes preparar tu ordenador o tu dispositivo para las compras con algunas recomendaciones básicas de seguridad. Un ejemplo en el que nunca caemos es evitar hacer compras o utilizar datos personales cuando estamos conectados en una red WIFI pública. En este tipo de redes muchas veces nuestra información puede quedar expuesta.
También es importante tener actualizado tu dispositivo, así como el sistema operativo y navegadores antes de comprar. Muchas veces las actualizaciones mejoran la seguridad y corrigen posibles errores y bugs que suelen ser puntos débiles donde poder robarte datos e información.
Otra medida importante es instalar un buen antivirus con un buen Fireware que sea una buena barrera de seguridad frente a posibles ataques en el momento de entrar a Internet. Incluso podríamos instalar alguna extensión en nuestro navegador como ADBlock que nos elimine esas ventanas emergentes y otros anuncios que puedan ser sospechosos de estafa.
