La comodidad de no tener que acudir a centros comerciales, muchas veces aglutinado de gente, donde dar innumerables paseos para encontrar el regalo perfecto es una de las ventajas. Y es que ahora basta con buscar en Google aquel regalo que deseas y herramientas como Google shopping, no solo te encuentra el regalo, si no que, además, te ayuda a ahorrar algo de dinero, comparando el producto con las diferentes tiendas que lo venden. Otra de las ventajas que supone el comprar online es que nos puedan traer los productos a casa, envolverlos por nosotros e incluso a veces con una política de devolución ampliada.
Pero no todo son luces de color. Los robos y el fraude digital es actualmente uno de los principales delitos que se cometen en este país. En Winfor Systems ya hemos hablado de algunos de los Cyber Villanos que nos acechan. Sin embargo, hoy venimos a hablaros de uno concretamente que también merece la pena saber que es.
¿Qué es el Pharming?
El Pharming es una de las técnicas de fraude en el que tu ordenador, tableta o móvil, es infectado por un programa, aplicación o archivo mal intencionado llamado troyano o virus. Los dispositivos se pueden infectar al abrir vínculos en correos electrónicos, al descargar software gratis, fotos, videos o archivos de fuentes no conocidas.
Este archivo o programa te redirige del sitio web que querías visitar a un sitio falso que, estéticamente puede parecer el web oficial, pero si revisamos algunas señales, podremos observar que no lo es. El objetivo es sencillo: conseguir que te registres o accedas con tus datos reales en su página para que quede almacenada esa información en su base de datos y poder así acceder a tu cuenta o suplantar tu identidad.
¿Cómo identificar el Pharming?
Las páginas web disponen de una especie de certificado de identidad donde podemos saber si son seguras o no y si realmente la web pertenece a esa marca o empresa. Este dato se llama certificado SSL y lo podemos ver al entrar en una página mediante un candado que aparece en la parte izquierda del enlace de la web.
Otro aspecto que revisar es el propio enlace. Si vemos que el enlace, aun que aparezca el nombre de la marca o de la empresa, contiene letras, palabras o símbolos extraños, podemos pensar que es un dominio falso y que se trata de una web fraudulenta. Estos enlaces o archivos suelen aparecer en las redes sociales, mensajes directos, servicios de mensajería o mediante un correo electrónico.
Desde Winfor Systems, recomendamos que para acceder de forma segura a una web y realizar compras, busques esta web en un buscador de confianza como Google o bien escribas tu mismo el enlace oficial para evitar riesgos.
Camuflándose en las apps
Los dispositivos móviles y las tablets también son vulnerables a este tipo de ataque. De hecho, podemos encontrar frecuentemente, noticias y artículos donde nos explican que se han detectado nuevos virus o troyanos ocultos en apps, incluso, en las propias tiendas de aplicaciones de Apple o Google. Para evitar riesgos con tus dispositivos, lo mejor es siempre evitar instalar aplicaciones mediante tiendas o enlaces no oficiales o que no estén soportados por las empresas de los sistemas operativos oficiales como Google, Apple o Microsoft.
Otros consejos importantes que seguir son la instalación de alguna aplicación de seguridad o antivirus, informarte acerca de la aplicación que quieras instalar antes de hacerlo y limitar los permisos que se dan a las aplicaciones instaladas para evitar posibles riesgos.
